Let’s dish a little…shall we? So THE award show to end all film awards shows is upon us…the gold naked man that all of us in Hollywood will do just about anything to wrap our grubby little hands around (and yes he is heavy) … OSCAR. Yesterday, he (and Salma) told the world those films, stars, writers, filmmakers, executives et al that for this year have been sprinkled with gold glitter dust aka the license to print money for films that the general public won’t go see…except now well they have to because they are nominated..or at least they’ll rent them when they’re out on DVD. Picks? You want Picks? Ohhhh…sooo easy. Child’s Play..this year is the year that Oscar can say THANK YOU to at least two of it’s always a bridesmaid never a bride fellas…Marty and Petey it’s YOUR year.
Best Picture The Departed…although personally I beleive Babel is best and LMS was the most fun

Best Actor Peter O’Toole…most nominated actor never to win.
Best Actress Helen Mirren
Supporting Actress Cate Blanchett..although I WANT Jennifer Hudson to win..such a Cinderella story.

so excited for J Hud…her story is the story of the season…can’t wait to see her smile, her dress, her jewelry, her perform (will she perform her best song nomination for “love you i do” which is btw my favorite song in the film besides the obvious “and i am telling you”)…whatever happens in her category, she is the WINNER…what an amazing time for her…
